Here s a great alternative technique that was suggested to me on finding the exact locations for the gray epoxy paint you’ll need to add to your lower wing skins in the area of the gas tank. By now you’ve applied and removed you bottom wing skins a number of times and have some alignment holes or marks to ensure that you line it up the same way every time.
    • Get yourself a thin/semi-flexible piece of Plexiglas that is large enough to drape over the portion of your wing structure in front of the main spar using your alignment system (as if it was your bottom wing skin).
    • Temporarily secure the Plexiglas so that it doesn’t move.
    • Drill wholes in the Plexiglas that match the four corners of each of your fuel bays that are large enough to poke a pen through.
    • Remove the Plexiglas from the wing and now using your same alignment system set the Plexiglas on the inside of your bottom wing skin (Don t forget to flip it over if the inside skin is facing up when you do this!).
    • Using a pen mark the fuel bay locations on the skin through the holes you just drilled.
    • Add the overlap called out in the manual and connect the dots with lines.
    • Apply the epoxy paint within the areas you drew.
    • Mark the holes you drilled in Plexiglas with an X or something to indicate that the have been used.
    • Rotate the Plexiglas 90 Deg or flip it over and repeat the same procedure for the other wing.
